The Terrain Brief is a weekly intelligence newsletter for B2B SaaS founders. We publish at theterrainbrief.com. References to "we," "us," or "our" in this policy mean The Terrain Brief.
When you subscribe, we collect your email address. That's the only personal information we ask for.
If you contact us directly (by replying to a newsletter or emailing us), we may retain that correspondence to respond to you.
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may log standard server data — IP addresses, browser type, pages visited — for security and performance purposes. We don't access this data to track individual readers.
We use your email address for one purpose: to send you The Terrain Brief. We don't use it to run ad campaigns, build audience profiles, or contact you about anything unrelated to the newsletter.
If we ever introduce a paid tier or product, we'll ask for fresh consent before using your email for that.
We use a small number of third-party services to operate the newsletter:
We don't sell your data to anyone. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.
We don't use tracking cookies or advertising pixels. Cloudflare may set a technical cookie for security purposes. We don't use analytics that identify individual visitors.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every issue. Your email is removed from our mailing list immediately.
If you'd like us to delete your data entirely from our systems, email us and we'll do it within 30 days.
We keep subscriber records for as long as you're subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your address is removed from active lists. If you request full deletion, we remove it from our database as well.
If we make material changes, we'll note the updated date at the top of this page. We won't change how we use your data without giving you notice.
